Lenovo Launches Vibe K5 Note with 4GB RAM & 64GB Storage for Rs. 13,499
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Lenovo launched the Vibe K5 Note smartphone in mid-2016. It was launched in 3GB and 4GB RAM variants priced at Rs. 11,999 and Rs. 13,499 respectively. Almost half a year later, the company launched the upgraded version of the Lenovo Vibe K5 Note with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The earlier launched 4GB RAM variant came with only 32GB of internal storage. Now the latest device with 64GB storage is priced at Rs. 13,499; same as the 32GB storage variant. With the launch of 64GB variant, the 32GB variant is now available at a discounted price of Rs. 12,499.
The device still runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the Vibe UI laid on top, and there is no information about the latest Android 7.0 Nougat update. In between all this, the company also launched Lenovo K6 Note as the successor to the Vibe K5 Note. Talking about the upgraded variant of the Vibe K5 Note, apart from doubling the storage, rest of the specifications remain same as the earlier launched variant. It sports a 5.5-inch IPS display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. The Vibe K5 Note comes powered by the 64-bit MediaTek Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz.
As mentioned earlier, it includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The user can further expand the storage using the MicroSD card option. On the rear of the Vibe K5 Note is a 13MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and PDAF. For selfies and video calls, there is an 8MP front camera with wide-angle lens. The fingerprint sensor and loudspeaker are also placed on the rear of the device. The device supports Dolby Atmos Audio for stereo surround sound effect. It comes with dual SIM dual standby options using the hybrid SIM slot where the user can either opt for a secondary SIM or a MicroSD card.
It is backed by a 3,500mAh non-removable battery that can give at least a day long battery life and it supports fast charging with the provided 5V/2A power adapter. Connectivity options include 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, 3.5mm Audio port, and a MicroUSB 2.0 port. It is also sold exclusively through Flipkart and comes in Gold, Silver, and Grey color options. On the other hand, the K6 Note is sold via Amazon India and is priced at Rs. 16,990 for the 4GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. There is also 3GB RAM variant that costs Rs. 15,490. The device looks almost same as its predecessor with the curved metal body.
